The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, has created the Admongo campaign to help teach kids about advertising. 
The game-based website teaches tweens- kids ages 8-12- the following:
Who is responsible for the ad?
What is the ad actually saying?
What does the ad want me to do?
Through admongo.gov, kids will learn to recognize ads, understand them, and make smarter decisions as they navigate the commercial world. (added May 2010)
