Come to the library and join The Book Thieves

The Book Thieves are a book discussion group for middle school kids and their favorite adult. It's a great way to share ideas with someone important to you, but you may also come without an adult.
We meet once a month. During that time, we talk about that month's book, discuss our choices for the next book we would like to read, figure out the next meeting time, and eat, drink soda (we call it pop in Michigan), and munch on snacks. All books are free and yours to keep forever thanks to the generosity of the the Margulf Foundation.

The Graveyard Book          Daniel X Alien Hunter
by Neil Gaiman               by James Patterson

Our next meeting is Wednesday, January 21st, 2009 from 4:30-6pm in the library meeting room.  We're going to try to top our selection of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins in December with The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and a graphic novel, Daniel X Alien Hunter by James Patterson.  These books were chosen by the Book Thieves at the December meeting as our next reads.  We have decided to expand our horizons by selecting a new genre- the graphic novel.  You may read both books or only one as we will talk about both in January.  Copies of the books will be available soon for members of the book discussion group.
