Music Room
The Music Room houses music books and music recordings in many formats. You will also find non-print materials such as Books on CD, Books on Tape, DVDs, and Videos. The library's music collection began in the library on Main St. in a room dedicated to the memory of Edward Ketering Marsh who was killed in the Vietnam War. The collection includes the archival tapes of Aspen Music Festival performances, the earliest having been recorded in 1958. The late Edgar Stanton made recording of these performances possible. The community is indebted to Gordon and Lillian Hardy for a donation which helped outfit this room. The Music Library holds 4,000 books, 22,100 music CDs and LPs and 6,200 DVDs and videos.
