MINUTES of the regular meeting of the Pitkin County Library Board of Trustees on April 3, 2024. The meeting was called to order at 12:01 PM in the William R. Dunaway Community Room.

Introductions were made so a new alternate, Chris Keleher, could get to know the rest of the board.

Trustee Comments-
- none
Librarian’s Report-
- Genevieve read an email from the County Admin requesting community board members to send in their experiences serving on a board.
- Genevieve gave an update on maintenance needed, including replacing self-check machines and entrance security gates, along with gate counters to be added to the east entrance to capture usage data for the Dunaway room, bathrooms, and elevator.
- AV microphones and receivers were replaced in the Dunaway Room along with the book return in the alley with the added reflective tape to reduce collisions.
- Library Staff updates are:
- Tom Eagan has gone to part-time as he transitions into retirement.
- The library has since hired two library temporary staff and one more on the way to help cover increased usage over the summer season with children’s programming.
- The misprint in Aspen Times issue has since been resolved.
