The Pitkin County Library is proud to house one of the most extensive music collections in the state. The collection includes:

  • Over 14,000 LPs and CDs dedicated to the classical tradition in the the Edward Kettering Marsh Classical Music Collection
  • The Non-Classical Music Collection holds a wide variety spanning jazz, folk, rock, world music, and more
  • Over 3,000 Music Books including biographies, histories, and critical works covering music and musicians across genres and eras
  • The Aspen Music Festival and School Archives is a growing collection of recorded performances dating back to 1950
